I would use diigo in my class for communication with parents. If I found a useful article for parents about a strategy to use with their child at home I could tag it on my diigo and parents would be able to read the article. I would also use this to share videos with students both in and out of class. If a student missed a lesson they would be able to access the information from home. I also coach basketball so I might also use diigo to share pictures taken during basketball games. If a parent werent able to attend their childs game I could post pictures or even video from the game so that family and friends were able to see the footage.
